Landscape organizes everything within sight.

Among the tricks I was supposed to learn as a landscape specialist was how to take photos of people so that they couldn't tell I was taking pictures of them.

This weekend I followed a friend to the beach. While he was surfing I walked up and down the sand, taking pictures of couples and individuals on promenade.

In low light, moving swiftly by, the camera picked up only blobs and colors. Suggestions?

not gonna do it with an electronic camera, at least not yet--you gotta get a palm-size point-n-shoot, ASA 400 film at least, and learn to hold the camera in the palm of your hand, waist level, and shoot from the hip, hitting the shutter-release button with your thumb--also shut off the flash unit . . . takes about seventy-two shots to figure out a personal technique . . .

Get a medium format camera on the cheap (Yashica), they're $25 on ebay, and they have a viewer you look down on, instead of holding up to your face.

You remember, I took your picture with one.
